Where to stay
There are lots of lodging options in Breckenridge, especially near the ski resort. We have a group rate at
Beaver Run Resort, which is also the pickup site for the
shuttles to the wedding. To book
online with the discounted rate use the promo code BRRWED and put "Hathaway – Worrall Wedding Rate Offer" in the notes section at check out. If you prefer to book by phone, you can call the hotel at 1.800.525.2253 and mention that you would like the Hathaway – Worrall Wedding Rate Offer (confirmation code 50H0MN). Discounted rates are available from 8/27-9/4. Rates are as follows:
- Standard room (2 queen beds): $103/night
- Deluxe room (1 queen bed, 1 queen pull-out bed, and small kitchen): $116/night
- One bedroom suites (same as deluxe room, but with separate sitting area and fireplace): $127-$150/night
- Larger suites (2-4 rooms with queen bed, 1 queen pull-out, kitchen, living room): 2BR $190-$195/night, 3BR $285/night, 4BR $380/night
In addition to the hotel, there are also many vacation properties to rent in the Breckenridge area. We highly recommend checking out sites like
VRBO or
Airbnb, especially if you are staying over the holiday weekend or are with a large group.
Getting to Breckenridge
If you are coming from out of state, the easiest way to get to Breckenridge is to fly into either Denver international airport (DIA) or Colorado Springs airport (COS). Both are a 2-2.5 hour drive to Breckenridge. Note that a lot of car rental companies will try to up-sell to an SUV if you tell them you are traveling in the mountains, but an SUV is not necessary. The drive to Breckenridge is hilly but not intense and a small sedan (Ford Focus, Toyota Camary, etc) will make it just fine. If you do not want to rent a car, there are multiple shuttle services available from both airports.
Colorado Mountain Express is a good choice.

Traffic
Expect some traffic if you are driving to the mountains on Friday night, or departing on Monday. Check out the Colorado Department of Transportation for
traffic forecasts and
real-time updates. Since it is a holiday weekend, traffic will be especially heavy leaving the mountains on Monday, with the worst traffic around 1 pm - 4 pm. If you plan to leave on Monday we recommend allowing an extra hour of travel time in case of traffic.
